Novo Nordisk Field Safety Notice  -  NovoPen Echo and NovoPen 5

Novo Nordisk A/S has detected that the insulin cartridge holder used in a number of NovoPen Echo and NovoPen 5 batches may crack or break if exposed to certain chemicals in some household products, such as cleaning agent, sunscreen and food grease.  Certain batches are affected and patients are advised to the NovoNordisk Customer Care Line on 0845 600 5055 to check their device and/or to request a replacement.

Test Results

tests_and_results.jpgPlease note that it is your own responsibility to contact the surgery for your test results.

Please allow 5 working days for results to be processed. Other tests such as X-rays may take longer. Please telephone the receptionist after 10:00am.

You may need to speak to the doctor or nurse to discuss your results – our receptionists will advise you if you need to take any further action but under no circumstances will they give out medical advice.

Test results may be viewed online if you have online access.  Please always telephone the surgery for an explanation of your results if the clinician has annotated the result with borderline or abnormal.

Be aware that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior written permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
